ESAC Board of Directors
ESAC’s Board of Directors consists of experienced industry, service provider and regulatory professionals, including 10 attorneys, 3 CPAs and 7 distinguished former state and federal regulators. The Board receives additional support from its legal and accounting advisors.
The Board is responsible for establishing ESAC’s standards and procedures, governing ESAC’s programs of accreditation, financial assurance and state regulatory compliance services, and ensuring the confidentiality and security of participating PEO information.
Industry directors do not have access to confidential PEO information and are not involved in the accreditation of a PEO unless the PEO specifically requests a hearing before the full Board. All decisions related to the accreditation of PEOs are made by the Independent Directors in consultation with ESAC's advisors, all of whom have no personal or financial interest in any PEO. Participants have the right to request the recusal of any director with respect to any matter with which the director might have a conflict of interest. Board meetings are open to the public, except for executive sessions reserved for confidential accreditation matters.
